Why St Louis Bertrand?
Jasmine – Her paternal grandparents, Richard Cole (Sr) and Mary Louise, were married in the rectory of this church shortly after Dick’s return from WWII.
Derrick– His family has indirect ties to Saint Louis Bertrand. St. Louis Bertrand was a Spanish missionary, who was responsible for spreading Catholicism to the Northern coast of Colombia – where Derrick’s family was born.

Rehearsal Dinner for the Wedding Party and Select Family at the Muhammad Ali Center (Leroy Neiman Gallery)

Look for invitations to come for more information, but there will be a tour of the museum included as part of the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner block of time!

Rehearsal Party for Everyone Visiting for the Wedding at Sully’s Saloon

After the rehearsal dinner, the fun doesn’t stop! We will be having a get-together for all guests traveling in for the wedding, including those who aren’t associated in the wedding party and rehearsal dinner. This will take place at Sully’s Saloon on Fourth Street Live, just blocks from the Galt House. Massive drink specials in effect from 10 PM to 1 AM. (Think $2)

Whatever you would like to do to explore Louisville!

We really aim to give you the day to discover town. There are many activities in town including the Louisville Slugger Museum and Bat Factory, the Louisville Science Center with IMAX, Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby Museum, The Frazier Historical Arms Museum, The Belle of Louisville (Steamboat River Tours with Historical Characters), My Old Kentucky Home, My Old Kentucky Train Ride, Casinos in Both French Lick and at Horseshoe, Fourth Street Live, Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Louisville Ballet, Actor’s Theater of Louisville, Kentucky Center for the Arts, Louisville Slugger Field (where the Bats play), The University Of Louisville and new basketball arena, Louisville Zoo, Louisville Glass Works, Speed Art Museum, and the Palace Theater. As you can see there are a ton of things to do, and most of these are within walking distance of the hotel!

If you’re feeling really adventurous, and like horses, the World Equestrian Games will be held in Lexington, KY, only 64 miles from the hotel.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K

We have decided to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday morning. If you’re in town already, we’d love for you to come walk or run the 5K with us! The start is steps from the hotel, and it raises money for a great cause!

6:00 PM- 8:00 PM
In Case You Missed Us – Come see us for Happy Hour at Jeff Ruby’s (The Galt House)

We will be at Jeff Ruby’s for a couple of hours to greet people and say hi for drinks from 6-8 PM before we head off to our final dinner as an engaged couple.

We have the restaurant all night, so the party ends when the DJ packs up and goes home. Possibility of hitting Fourth Street Live when the Reception is over: 90%.

Monday, 11 October
Columbus Day (Federal Holiday)

10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Brunch on the Belvedere for Remaining Hotel Guests (adjacent to the Galt House)
Final send off and celebration brunch for the newly married couple.
